Melissa Dreher
Counselor, LMHC
Feeling isolated, stuck in a rut or like you don't matter in the world? My approach is to empower clients in order to change negative patterns and learn to make meaningful connections with others in order to heal from painful experiences. I believe that the strength of the therapeutic relationship is necessary for clients to feel safe enough to make changes in their lives. In a supportive, affirming, and non-judgmental relationship, clients experience interpersonal growth, develop healthy copings skills, and learn how to respond differently.
I work with adults on a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, behavior problems, family conflicts, marital difficulties, parenting skills, grief/loss, life transitions, self harming behaviors, self esteem, and anger management using different counseling techniques.
In addition, I focus on overall wellness and prevention by offering opportunities to learn meditation, guided imagery, visualization, and breathing techniques.
